Widelity adds Robert E. Beran to Board of Advisors

Widelity, a leading provider of telecommunications consulting services, announced today that Robert Beran has recently accepted a Widelity Board of Advisors position.

Mr. Beran has over 20 years of experience in the communications, information and entertainment services industries. He has served in numerous senior executive roles ranging from strategic planning and corporate development to chief executive and chief operating officer positions in a variety of emerging and traditional businesses, as well as leading business units of major corporations, including Bell Atlantic/Verizon and GE.
He was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nextlink Wireless, Inc. Nextlink, the largest holder of fixed wireless spectrum in the United States, is a wholly owned subsidiary of XO Holdings.
Prior to joining Nextlink, Mr. Beran was the Senior Vice President of First Avenue Networks providing fixed wireless broadband services where he was responsible for building and leading the day-to-day operations of the company.
Prior to that Mr. Beran was an executive at Bell Atlantic and Verizon where he held a variety of senior positions in the Directory Group, Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions, Media Ventures, Video Services, and Mergers and Acquisitions.
